Examined material. HOLOTYPE ♂ ( INPA): BRASIL, Amazonas, Parque Nacional do Jaú, 8–16.iv.2001, 01°53′04″S–61°35′11″W / Arm. Susp.— 20m, Floresta, Henriques & Vidal / Hólotipo Syneches longiflagellatus, Ale-Rocha & Vieira (red label).
Geographical distribution. Brazil (Amazonas) ( Fig. 120 View FIGURE 120 ).
Comments. This species is easily distinguished from congeners by the postpedicel very long, more than three times the length of scape and pedicel combined, with parallel sides, and the wide prosternum. In S. striatus sp. nov. the postpedicel is moderately long, almost two times the length of scape and pedicel together, however it is ovate.
