Messor lobicornis Forel, 1894

( Figs 1D , 4D ) 1 syntype (☿): “Terni [*Algeria, Tlemcen; not Umbrien as mentioned by Bloch (1940)] 9.IV”. Forel (1894a: 32) gives the locality as follows: Caravansérail d’Aïn Ghoraba, près de Terni, dans une prairie. The label is identical with the one pictured from another syntype from the Forel collection of the MHNG on AntWeb (2016).
