TYPE SPECIES. — Dactylocalyx polydiscus Bowerbank, 1869 by subsequent designation (Pisera F Lévi 2002d).
DEFINITION. — Exclusively discotriaenes as ectosomal spicules and acanthoxeas and acanthorhabds as microscleres (Pisera F Lévi 2002d).
