Pseudopanolis azusa Sugi, 1970 View in CoL
(Plate 3, figs 21–22; gen. fig. 14)
Pseudopanolis azusa Sugi, 1970 , Kontyû 38 (2): 136. Type locality: Japan, Nagano Pref., Shimashima Valley, Futamata, 890 m.
Record from Korea. 1 male, Prov. South Jeolla, Mt. Jiri-san, Toji-myun, Gurye-gun, 1318 m, 127°33’34”E, 35°18’12”N, 11.v.2012, leg. S.W. Choi; slide No. RL 10667m (coll. MNU).
Diagnosis. The second Pseudopanolis Inaba, 1927 species occurring in Korea differs externally from P. heterogyna (O. Bang-Haas, 1927) by its strongly curved black subterminal line and the more intensive orangeochreous marginal suffusion. The differences in the genitalia are easily recognisable (see the gen. figs 14–15 and the figures of Sugi 1970; Owada 1994; Kononenko & Han 2007).
Distribution. The species has long been considered as a Japanese endemism, this is the first known record outside Japan.
