TYPE LOCALITY: U.S.A., Arizona, Mohave Co., Mud Spring .
DISTRIBUTION: S.C. Utah and Arizona to W. Texas ( U.S.A.), south to N.W. Sonora and S. Chihuahua ( Mexico).
COMMENT: Includes minimus, which was transferred from penicillatus by Hoffmeister and Lee, 1967, J. Mammal., 48:361. Reviewed by Hoffmeister, 1974, Southwest. Nat., 19(2):213—214.
