Type species: Chasmatonotoides longiantennata View in CoL n. sp. Other species: Chasmatonotoides deharvengi View in CoL n. sp.

Etymology: The name of this genus refers to the similarities with the extant genus Chasmatonotus .

Diagnosis: Male antenna with 13 distinctly hairy flagellomeres; eye with dorsomedial extension; mid and hind legs without pseudospur on tarsomere 1; squama bare; wing membrane bare; scutum with median longitudinal groove; gonostylus simple; anal point narrow and elongate.
