Subgenus Cyabarda Karisch, 2013
Cyabarda Karisch, 2013 , Esperiana View in CoL 18: 125. Type species: Cabarda torrida Holland, 1893 .
Diagnosis. The subgenus is closely related to the subgenera Paravulpeculella and Vulpeculella . The male genitalia are characterized by the presence of a heavily sclerotised rectangular saccus (also present in Paravulpeculella , but absent in Vulpeculella ), large claviform apico-lateral processes of juxta (those are much smaller in Paravulpeculella and Vulpeculella ), and aedeagus being strongly broadened distally and bearing a long semi-ring dentate transversal crest (the feature unique for the subgenus). In the female genitalia, the very broad and heavily sclerotised rectangular antrum is characteristic.
