Diagnosis & description. For both sexes see Bosmans (1994).

Remark. The specimens differ in colour from the specimens used for comparison (AMNH), having dark brown prosoma and sternum, ventral side of abdomen and femora I and II.

Material examined. PORTUGAL. Setúbal district: Lagoa da Sancha, 6 June 2009, 7Ƥ, J.C. Carvalho leg. (CSP); Faro district: Monte Gordo, 7 April 1971, 2Ƥ, J. & F. Murphy leg. ( AMNH).

Distribution. It has been recorded only on the south-western and southern coast of Portugal ( Fig. 15 ).
