Leucophenga fuscithorax Huang & Chen , sp. nov.
( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 A, 6A, 6B, 8L, 12A, 12B, 24)
Diagnosis. This species is very similar to L. rectifoliacea sp. nov. in the patterns of wing ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A) and abdominal tergites ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 L), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the setae of epandrium continuously distribute from posterodorsal portion to ventral corners ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 A), the aedeagus slightly acute apically, subbasally with 1 small dorsal projection, subapically with 1 small ventral projection ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 D).
Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 7 setae above ocellar setae. Frons yellowish brown. Pedicel yellowish brown; first flagellomere yellowish brown. Clypeus yellowish brown. Palpus brownish yellow. Mesonotum brown, lacking distinct patch or longitudinal stripe ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A). Postpronotal lobe yellow. Acrostichal setulae in ca. 15 irregular rows ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A). Scutellum brown, pale at tip ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A). Pleura with a intermittent, brown longitudinal stripe above ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 B). Katepisternum and meron mostly yellow ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 B). Wing ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 6 peg-like spinules on ventral surface. Mid and hindlegs dark brown on knees. Abdominal tergites black, with thin yellow along all margins ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 L); second yellow anteromedially; third with a pair of narrow, yellow patches submedially along anterior margin; fourth and fifth submedially each with 2 pairs of yellow patches near anterior margin; sixth with yellow patch medially. Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 24 setae posterodorsal portion to ventral corner per side ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 A). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 B). Paramere broadened medially, with ca. 6 sensilla and pubescence distally ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 C). Aedeagus reticulated medially and slightly vented curved distally ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 D).
