Leucophenga brevifoliacea Huang & Chen , sp. nov.
( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 G, 5C, 5D, 8G, 8H, 11C, 11D, 20)
Diagnosis. This species is very similar to L. arcuata sp. nov. in the patterns of abdominal tergites ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 G, H) and ventrad curved aedeagus ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 D), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the wing nearly brown anteriorly, lacking distinct patch on vein R2+3 ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G), the aedeagus lacking minute, serrated processes and not narrowed distally ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 D).
Description. Ocellar triangle yellowish brown, with ca. 3–4 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brown. Pedicel yellow; first flagellomere yellowish brown. Clypeus brownish. Mesonotum brown, lacking distinct patch or stripe ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 C). Postpronotal lobe yellow. Acrostichal setulae in ca. 15–16 irregular rows ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 C). Scutellum mostly brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 C). Katepisternum nearly yellowish ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 D). Wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 10 peg-like spinules on ventral surface. Halter slightly brownish apically. Abdominal tergites brown to dark brown ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 G, H), with irregular, yellow margins; second broadly yellow medially; third to fifth with a pair of yellow patches submedially along anterior margins; sixth with X-shaped yellow patch medially in holotype ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 G); third to sixth with some changes in 1♂ paratype ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 H). Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 15 setae near posterior margin and ca. 10 setae near ventral corner per side ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 A). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 B). Paramere short and rectangular, with 4 sensilla and pubescence ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 C).
