Material examined. 7 males, 2 females from, Parkesia noveboracensis (Gmelin, JF, 1789) ( Passeriformes : Parulidae ), (SM 1857), CANADA, Manitoba, Oak Hammock Marsh, 15 May 2004, coll. T.D. Galloway and T.M. Whiklo; 10 females from, same host species, (SM 342), CANADA, Manitoba, Winnipeg, 28 August 2000, coll. T.D. Galloway and T.M. Whiklo.

This mite was described from the Northern Waterthrush, P. noveboracensis , in Arkansas, USA ( Hernandes et al. 2018). In Canada, this mite is recorded for the first time.
