Material examined. 10 males, 10 females from Dumetella carolinensis (Linnaeus, 1766) ( Passeriformes : Mimidae ) (SM 2443), CANADA, Manitoba, Winnipeg, 20 May 2014, coll. T.D. Galloway and E.N. McNally.
This species was described from the Gray Catbird, D. carolinensis , in the USA (Georgia, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania) ( Mironov & OConnor 2014). In Canada, this mite is recorded for the first time .
