Material examined: Gobernador Costa: Senecio filaginoides (1). The species was only recorded under shrub steppe.
Records in Argentina: Neuquén and Río Negro ( Fredes 2018).
Comments: the species is endemic to Argentina. It is a first record for the province of Chubut.
