Redescription, female. Head subquadrate in dorsal view, lateral margin fully little outcurved, wider at eye level, vertex evenly outcurved. Gena not visible in dorsal view. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute. Anterior margin of anterior ocellus posterior to supra-ocular line. Frons very weakly coriaceous. Notauli absent. Parapsidal signum almost complete, wide, slightly outcurved, converging posterad. Anterior corner of metapectal-propodeal disc with cavity smaller than space between metapostnotal median and metapostnotal-propodeal carinae. First metapostnotal lateral carina incomplete posteriorly. First abdominal spiracle elongated with one margin outcurved and other incurved, and rounded corners, located on dorsal surface of metapectal-propodeal disc. Metasomal tergite III without paired tubercles, but having a carina close to posterior margin; tergites IV–V with one pair of large spine-shaped tubercles, connected by transverse carina. Inter-tubercular space 2.0 × outer-tubercular space for metasoma IV and 3.0 × for metasoma V.

Material examined. Paratype female YEMEN, Lahij, viii.2002, Malaise trap, A. van Harten & A. Sallam col. ( UFES, n. 30046) .

Remarks. This species is known from Yemen and Egypt. It is associated with the buprestid beetle Ptosima undecimmaculata Herbst ( Lanes & Azevedo 2008) , a widespread species where D. yemenensis occurs.
