TYPE LOCALITY: Mexico, Veracruz, Perote .

DISTRIBUTION: Vicinity of type locality and 3 km W Limon.

COMMENTS: Retained as a species since its discovery (Carleton, 1989; Hoffmeister, 1951; Osgood, 1909), although Hooper (1968b) suspected that it would prove to be a subspecies of P. truei , a possibility which has yet to be addressed. P. truei species group.
