TYPE LOCALITY: Australia, South Australia, Ooldea .
DISTRIBUTION: Australia, S South Australia and S Western Australia (see map in Kitchener, 1985:216).
COMMENTS: Originally described by Troughton (1932a) as a subspecies of P. hermannsburgensis , but distinguished from that species and redescribed by Kitchener et al. (1984a), who also reported sympatry of both species at Goongarrie, Western Australia.
