TYPE LOCALITY: Papua New Guinea, Chimbu Prov., Bismarck Range, N slopes of Mt Wilhelm, 8000 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea; known only from scattered localities along Central Cordillera from Telefomin region in west to Wau area in the east (see map in Flannery 19906:183).

COMMENTS: Flannery (19906: 183) provided a photograph of the animal and a summary of distributional and biological data.
