TYPE LOCALITY: Tunisia, Kebili .
DISTRIBUTION: Tunisia and Libya.
SYNONYMS: aureus , favillus, nalutensis.
COMMENTS: The three synonyms listed here along with bonhotei , dunni , perpallidus , riggenbachi , and rosalinda were united with G. latastei by Cockrum (1977) when he reported on the specific identity of that species. Lay (1983) discussed the basis for considering each of these five as separate species. The Libyan populations (under G. aureus ) were reviewed by Ranck (1968).
