Material examined. MNHN 2002.0429 (male; SVL 59.0 mm, TaL> 20 mm, missing), Province of Jambi, elev. 20 m.
Taxonomic comments. This strongly ocellated specimen is typical of the species (see, for example, Taylor, 1965 and Schlüter, 2003).
Distribution on Sumatra. Provinces of Jambi (first record in this work), and Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Riau, Bengkulu, Sumatera Selatan, and Lampung ( De Rooij, 1915; Y. Laumonier, pers. comm., 1998; this work).
Biology. This specimen was regurgitated by a Dendrelaphis pictus (see below; specimen MHLCLFE 167).
Another specimen was observed in a lawn of the zoological park of Jakarta. It was active at day time.
