Material examined. Two specimens, photographed, Bayur, Province of Sumatera Barat, elev. 480 m.
Taxonomic comments. Both specimens show a pattern and morphology typical of this species (see, for example, Manthey & Grossmann, 1997).
Distribution on Sumatra. Provinces of Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Riau, Bengkulu, and Sumatera Selatan; also the islands of Bangka, Enggano, Nias, Simeulue and Mentawai Archipelago ( De Rooij, 1915).
Biology. A specimen was observed at day time in a bathroom. The other one was seen in a human house on the shore of Lake Maninjau, near a clutch of 7 eggs glued on a wall in a dark and wet room.
