TYPE DEPOSITORY: not stated.

TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Switzerland, in cow dung and wet meadow.

NOTE: Schweizer (1949: 57, 1961: 129) reported specimens of Leioseius venustulus Berlese from Switzerland. Hirschmann (1962: 48) considered this to be a misidentification, and used Schweizer's descriptions to establish I. schweizeri . However, Schweizer's descriptions and illustrations do not appear to represent a species of Iphidozercon . Gwiazdowicz & Halliday (2008) were uncertain of its generic placement.
