Thallus small, rigid, reddish-brown to pink, 2–5 cm in length. Main axes with calcified cylindrical segments (genicula) of 80–95 μm in diameter, joined together by soft non-calcified segments (intergenicula) of 70–85 μm in diameter, branching dichotomously ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–16. 6 ). Branches without constrictions, smooth surfaces and rounded apices. Solitary conceptacles with a horn-like projection on both sides.
