One ♁ and one ♀ syntype. A ♁ with labels: “LALLA- MARGHRNIA, 17.7.80, Finot” [locality and date printed, “Finot” handwritten on pale blue paper]; “ Sphingonotus lucasii Sauss. ” [handwritten on pink paper]; “ Sphingonotus lucasii Sauss. ” [handwritten on blue paper]; “ Syntypus ” [printed on red paper]. Specimen set with wings spread; the tarsi of the left middle leg are missing. A ♀ with labels: “ Oran ” [handwritten on white paper]; “ Sphingonotus lucasii Sauss. ” [handwritten on pink paper]; “ Sphingonotus lucasii Sauss. ” [handwritten on blue paper]; “ Syntypus ” [printed on red paper]. Specimen set with wings spread; the left antenna, the last tarsal segment of the left front leg, the tibia and tarsi of the right front leg, the tarsi of the right middle leg and the right hind leg are lost.
