Nealcidion cephaliferum Vlasak & Santos-Silva, 2022: 542 View in CoL ; Monné, 2023: 139 (cat.).
Remarks. Nealcidion Monné, 1977 has 62 known species, distributed from Mexico to southern South America (Monné 2023; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023). Herein we are recording a second species recently described from South America, N. cephaliferum Vlasak & Santos-Silva, 2022 for Panama.
Nealcidion cephaliferum was described based on male and female from Ecuador ( Bezark 2024b; Monné 2024; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023). The specimens examined allow expanding the geographical distribution of the species to southern Central America.
