Indomyrlaea sinuapalpa Ren & Li sp. nov.

( Figs 9 View FIGURES 8 – 13 , 25 View FIGURE 25 )

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to I. nigra Ren & Li sp. nov., but can be distinguished by the labial palpus with second segment sinuate in S shape in the male, the valva with distal part hammerheaded, and the aedeagus with a conic thorn-like cornutus near basal 3/ 7 in the male genitalia. In I. nigra Ren & Li sp. nov., the second segment of labial palpus is not sinuate in S shape, the distal part of the valva is acinaciform, and the conic thornlike cornutus is near apex of the aedeagus.

Description. Male ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 8 – 13 ): Wingspan 23.5−24.0 mm. Vertex with scales yellowish brown in basal half, grayish brown in distal half. Antenna with scape twice as long as wide, ferruginous brown on dorsal surface, yellowish brown on ventral surface; flagellum dark brown, sinus gentle, with yellowish brown, vertical arranged scale tufts, and a row of short, black toothlet under scale tufts. Labial palpus yellowish white; second segment elongate, 2.5 times length of diameter of compound eye, vertically upturned, sinuate in S shape; third segment short, slightly bend forward, about 1/15 length of second segment. Maxillary palpus yellowish white. Patagium, tegula and thorax ocherous brown. Forewing ground color yellowish brown, gradually deeper from base toward apex, mixed with numerous ferruginous brown scales, with black scales along veins; scales white-tipped between postmedial line and terminal line; basal 1/4 with an elliptic area bearing dense, thick scales from lower margin of cell to dorsum; antemedian line absent; discal spots fused, black; postmedial line yellowish white, sinuate, margined with blackish brown on both sides, angled inward at R4 and CuA2; terminal line black; cilia ferruginous brown. Hindwings yellowish brown, opaque; cilia yellowish white. Foreleg and midleg blackish brown mixed with ocherous brown; hindleg ocherous brown on dorsal surface, blackish brown mixed with ocherous brown on ventral surface, tibia with long yellowish brown scales on dorsal surface.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 25 View FIGURE 25 ). Uncus bell-shaped, blunt at apex, evenly bearing dense, short setae in distal half on dorsal surface. Gnathos trilobate, anchor-shaped, lateral lobes crescent, medial lobe fingerlike, half length of lateral lobe. Transtilla weakly sclerotized. Valva slightly narrowed to middle, somewhat hammerheaded in distal part: narrowed and about half width of base from middle to distal 1/6, broadened in distal 1/6, rounded dorsal-apically, triangularly protruded ventral-apically; bearing dense long hair distally and along dorsal margin of sacculus from basal 1/5 to end; costa strongly sclerotized, about half width of valva, base and apex broader than middle, archedly concave medially; sacculus narrowed, 3/4 length of valva, straight in basal 4/5, deep concave in distal 1/5, with a slender, hooked process distally. Vinculum U-shaped, 1.5 times as long as wide. Juxta U-shaped, shield-shaped on median area, with a pair of fingerlike lateral lobes bearing sparse setae. Aedeagus cylindrical, stout, strongly sclerotized, about 1.4 times length of valva, with dense short thorns forming a quadrangular and an arched band near apex; cornuti comprised of numerous spinule and sclerotized crimples, arranging in wheatear-shape: an arched, spined band at base, a cluster of spines near this, a conic thorn at basal 3/7, and a helical sclerotized crimple surrounded by dense granulae from basal 2/5 to apex. Culcita four pairs, three-dimensional arranged.

Female unknown.

Type material. Holotype ♂, China: Taiyanghe (30°26'N 119°34'E), Puer, 1600 m, Yunnan, 11-VII-2013, coll. Zhenguo Zhang, gen. slide No. LHX14195 ( NKUM).

Paratype: China: Yunnan: 1 ♂, same data as for holotype, gen. slide No. LHX13372 ( NKUM); 2 ♂, Baihualing, Mt. Gaoligong, Baoshan, 1473 m, 29-VII-2013, coll. Linlin Yang, gen. slide Nos. RYD20120252, RYD20120253 ( HAASM).

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin prefix sinua -, meaning sinuate, and morphological term palpus, referring to the condition that the second segment of labial palpus is sinuate and in S shape in male.
