Negative reactions are obtained for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis and β galactosidase in API 20NE. Does not utilize D glucose, L arabinose, D mannose, D mannitol, N acetylglucosamine, D maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid.
