Description of Elizabethkingia anophelis View in CoL 142-9
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated and rodshaped (2.9 μm long, 0.6 μm wide). Colonies are circular, entire, raised and yellowcolored after 2 days of incubation on TSA at 25°C. Negative reactions are obtained for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis and gelatinase in API 20NE. Does not utilize L arabinose, D mannose, D mannitol, N acetylglucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain 1429 (= NIBRBA 0000114764) was isolated from a freshwater sample, Juwang mountain, Cheongsong, Korea.
