Type species: Austrotroides crenatus Friend, 1982 ; fixed by original designation for Fleuria Lowry & Myers, 2019 .
Included species. Fleuriella contains one species: F. crenata ( Friend, 1982) comb. nov.
Etymology. The replacement generic name is a compound noun of feminine gender, derived from the name of the type locality of the type species, the Fleurieu Peninsula, in combination with the Latin feminine diminutive suffix “-ella”.

Etymology. The replacement generic name is a compound noun of feminine gender for Des Hurley in recognition of his contributions to the amphipod fauna of New Zealand, with the Latin feminine diminutive suffix “-ella”.
