Neoparaphytoseius charapa n. sp.
Diagnosis. Setae z2, z4, S2, S5 and R1 stout and smooth; r3 stout and distally serrate; j4-j6, J2, J5 and Z1 spine-like and smooth; calyx of spermatheca funnel shaped; atrium distinct, c-shaped; male ventrianal shield with only three pairs of preanal setae.
Specimens examined. Holotype female from Iquitos Province, Loreto Department, Peru (03°44' S 73°14' W), on Inga edulis (Mart.) (Fabaceae) . Paratypes: two females, same collection data as holotype; one male, Aucayaco Province, Huánuco Department, Peru (08°55' S 76°06' W), same host as holotype. All types collected by S. Jiménez Jorge on 18 February 2013. Holotype and paratype male deposited at Escola Superior de Agricultura ¨Luiz de Queiroz¨, Universidade de São Paulo, Piracicaba, São Paulo state, Brazil. Paratype females deposited at SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria - Subdirección de Control Biológico), Lima, Peru.
