Description (after Calder 1988)

Colony erect, hydrocaulus monosiphonic, irregularly branched; branches partly adnate to hydrocaulus. Perisarc pedicel terminating abruptly below hydranth.

Distribution

This constitutes a new record of the genus Corydendrium for the west coast of the Gulf of California . In the Mexican Pacific , three species of the genus have been recorded, C . flabellatum in Nayarit and Jalisco ( Fraser 1938a), C. fruticosum in Baja California ( Fraser 1948), and C. parasiticum in Sinaloa ( Alvarez-León and Wedler 1982).
