Material examined. TURKEY: Istanbul: 1 ex., Yalova, V.1959, leg. Schubert ( NHMW).
Comment. The current placement of O. recondita in the subgenus Baeoglena (see Smetana 2004) is doubtlessly based on a homoplasy, i. e. the distinctly elongated maxillary palpus. The different morphology of the median lobe of the aedeagus, the paramere, as well as of the spermatheca suggests that the species is not closely related to O. praecox Erichson, 1839 (type species of Baeoglena ) and allied species. In consequence, an inclusion of O. recondita in Baeoglena would render the subgenus polyphyletic. The species was previously unknown from Turkey (Smetana 2004).
