Aspidomorpha (s. str.) icterica ab. absiliens Spaeth, 1932

( Figs. 59–60 View Figs )

Aspidomorpha icterica ab. absiliens Spaeth 1932a: 13.

Original Locality. Unstated, see Remarks.

Specimens Examined. 1 spec., pinned, “ Coll. E. Ross | Berlin. N 113 [b, t, cb] || absiliens | m. cotyp [w, hw, cb] | Spaeth det. [t, w, cb] || Joko | Kamerun [hw, w, cb] || Aspidomorpha | absiliens|72.) Spaeth. | Kamerun. [hw, b, bf, cb] || ZMH 824667 View Materials [w, bf, sf]” ( ZMH) .

Current Status. Unavailable infrasubspecific name.

Remarks. Spaeth (1932a) proposed this taxon as an aberration, and thus it is an unavailable infrasubspecific name ( ICZN 1999).

Spaeth (1932a) described this taxon in the text about Aspidomorpha icterica Boheman, 1854 and listed its distribution, but did not state from which localities the aberration absiliens came. The specimen mentioned above certainly originates from the Spaeth collection. Borowiec (1997) studied the original specimens of the aberration absiliens deposited in the MM and the RMCA and concluded that they do not belong to A. icterica , but to A. dissentanea Boheman, 1862 .
