Distribution. Western Atlantic—Venezuela to Brazil (Pará, Maranhão, Ceará, Paraíba, Alagoas, Bahia, São Paulo, Paraná). Eastern Atlantic—Senegal to Congo ( Crosnier & Forest 1966; Christoffersen 1984; Almeida et al. 2006; Pachelle et al. 2016).
