Occurrence in northern and northeastern Brazil: AP, MA: Coelho & Ramos-Porto (1986); CE: Fausto Filho (1968); AL: Silva & Calado (2002a); BA: Miers (1886), as P. punctata (Linnaeus, 1758) .
