N e w r e c o r d s: CHILE: 3, Region IV, Prov. Limari , Nat. Park Fray Jorge , 550 m, Alto de Talinay , 6-7.XII.1990, Agosti & Burckhardt nr 1a ( MHNG).

C o m m e n t s: The species was based on material from " Chili " ( REITTER 1880: 45) and subsequently recorded from Concepción: Nonguen and Valparaíso: Gomez Carreno ( LÖBL 1983: 162). It may be distinguished by the short sutural striae of elytra, the dark body colour and the microsculptured ventrite 1, in combination.
