Diagnosis. The cercus ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 25 – 27 ) and genital ligula ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 28 – 47 ) resemble those of E. angeloi and Epipleoneura williamsoni and are diagnosed under the first species. The epiproct ( Figs. 27 View FIGURES 25 – 27 b–c) morphology is unique by its widened base, bifurcated and ventrally curved branches that are relatively long, parallel and join basally. Posterior margin of female pronotum ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 53 – 66 ) is similar to those of E. humeralis and E. westfalli , with two erected lobes, that in E. manauensis are wider and with a deep V cleft between them.
Distribution. Northern Brazil in the State of Amazonas (type locality Óbidos, Curucambá river, 01º55’04”S, 55º31’04”W), Northern Venezuela, San Carlos-Solanos road, Cojedes State.
