Type series. Holotype male, Mahua stream, downstream of national park entrance, at crossing with national park road, Crocker  Range, Borneo, Malaysia, 5 º 46.491 N 116 º 25.770 E, alt. 865 m asl, 22 -ix- 2012 ( RMNH). Paratype: one male, Kemantis stream, Sayap, Mt Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia, 6 º 0 9.841 N 116 º 33.936 E, alt. 928 m asl, 16 - ix- 2012 ( RMNH).

Diagnosis. As for subgenus.

Description. Colour yellowish, idiosoma 429 (401) long and 270 (251) wide. Dorsal shield 423 (389) long and 235 (227) wide, with four pairs of glandularia, postocularia lying anterior to dgl- 1. Dorsal furrow with four pairs of glandularia on relatively small platelets (especially most posterior pair) and three pairs of slit organs. Between fourth leg sockets and genital field a pair of glandularia (lateroglandularia 3 sensu Wiles 1997?). Acetabula rounded. Gonopore 72 long and 38 wide. Length/height of P 1 -P 5: 22 /16, 40/27, 32/, 54 /19, 28/ 9. Length of I-leg- 4–6: 50, 46, 38, segments stocky. Dorsal margins of II-leg- 4-5 and III-leg- 4-5 with up to eight small setae. Length of IV-leg- 4–6: 92, 84, 60; fourth legs very strong, with one large, simple claw and one smaller claw with a dorsal clawlet.

Female: Unknown.

Etymology. Named for its large claws.
