Subgenus Javalbiopsis Cook, 1967

Diagnosis (after Cook 1974, revised). Glandularia platelets in dorsal furrow greatly enlarged. Dorsal shield either indented anteriorly and with glandularia lying free in these indentations, or without indentations and these glandularia fused with dorsal shield. Vgl-4 either fused with ventral shield or lying separated. Excretory pore fused with the dorsal shield in both sexes.

Thus far, only J. africana Cook, 1966 ( Liberia) and J. persica Pešić, Smit & Saboori, 2012 (SE-Iran) are known.
