Description. Male. Yellowish brown. Head. Face light brown. Internal margin of antennal socket, scape and pedicel blackish brown. Fastigium verticis conical, apex obtusely rounded, in the centre with a shallow furrow; dorsal surface of head with 4 distinctly brown stripes: outer stripes narrower, which extending to internal margin of antennal socket and continued about two-thirds along the pronotum; medial stripes slightly broader, fused in fastigium verticis ( Figure 6A View FIGURE 6 ). Eyes round-oval, brown. Apical segments of maxillary palpi longer than subapical ones, apices slightly inflated; the apices of maxillary palpi brown.

Thorax. The outer stripes of the head continued to the middle area of metazona, between them with a brown stripe ( Figure 6A View FIGURE 6 ); anterior margin of pronotum slightly projecting, posterior margin narrowly rounded; the lateral lobe longer than high ( Figure 6B View FIGURE 6 ).

Tegmina. Tegmina covered by the pronotum, the posterior margin reaching the middle area of second abdominal tergite; margins of the tegmina darker brown ( Figure 6B View FIGURE 6 ). Hind wings absent.

Legs. All femora without ventral spines. Fore coxae with a small spine. Fore tibiae with 4 internal and 5 external spines on ventral margin, apices with 1 pair of ventral spines. Genicular lobes of hind femora with obtuse apices, black; tibiae with 25–28 internal and 29–34 external spines on ventral surface, ventral surface with 3–4 internal spines and 5–6 external spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spines and 2 pairs of ventral spines, darkish brown.

Abdomen. Dorsal margin of tergites and sternites black, lateral margin of abdominal tergites yellowish. Tenth abdominal tergite with arch-shaped concavity; epiproct tongue-shaped. Cerci. Yellow. Basal half with keel-shaped dorsal lobe, ventral process longer, which curved dorsad, apices obtuse ( Figure 6C, D View FIGURE 6 ). Apical half of cerci spineshaped, squarely incurved, apices subacute ( Figure 6E, H View FIGURE 6 ). Subgenital plate with base broad, gradually narrowing, basal margin slightly straight, with 1 V-shaped membranous area; apical area nearly rectangular projected in middle, centre of posterior margin slightly concave, the lateral lobe obtusely rounded ( Figure 6G View FIGURE 6 ). Styli conical, apices obtuse, inserted on the subapex of subgenital plate.

Female. Unknown.

Measurements. Body length: ♂ 7.8–8.8 mm, ♀ 7.5–7.8 mm; length of pronotum: ♂ 4.1–4.3 mm, ♀ 4.0– 4.4 mm; length of hind tegmina: ♂ 2.5–2.6 mm, ♀ 2.3–2.5 mm; length of hind femora: ♂ 9.2–9.5 mm, ♀ 9.6–10.1 mm; length of ovipositor: 6.9–7.1 mm.

Distribution. CHINA (Yunnan).

Remarks. The new species differs from Phlugiolopsis (Uncinata) mistshenkoi (Gorochov, 1993) and Phlugiolopsis (Uncinata) angustimarginis Bian & Shi, sp. nov. in: the basal area of male cerci with 1 wider keelshaped dorsal lobe; apical area of subgenital plate nearly rectangular projected in middle, which curved ventrad, centre of posterior margin slightly concave, whereas the dorsal lobe of male cerci in Phlugiolopsis (Uncinata) angustimarginis Bian & Shi, sp. nov. narrower and the posterior margin of male subgential plate in Phlugiolopsis (Uncinata) mistshenkoi (Gorochov, 1993) not projecting.

Etymology. The specific name ‘ platylobosis ’ is derived from Latin word ‘ platy ’ (=wide) and ‘ lob ’ (=lobe). It refers to the wider dorsal keel-shaped lobe of male cerci.
