Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by having a digitate process arising from the middle between the base of the costa and the transtilla. It is similar to N. longissima sp. nov. and N. mediseorsa sp. nov. in the valva fused basally, and can be distinguished by the forewing with a black speckle beyond the outer fascia between the costal margin and R 5 as well as between M 2 and the termen respectively, and in the male genitalia by the phallus with a banded process at distal 1/3. In N. longissima and N. mediseorsa , the forewing lacks a speckle between M 2 and the termen beyond the outer fascia, and the phallus lacks a process in the male genitalia.

Description. Adult ( Figs 2, 3 View FIGURES 1‒6 ). Male wingspan 11.0‒13.0 mm.

Head: Vertex yellowish brown; frons purple. Eye interocular index 0.62‒0.65. Proboscis dark brown. Labial palpus 0.67−0.88 × vertical eye diameter; golden yellow on inner surface, brown on outer surface, with black hairs. Antenna 3.3−3.6 × length of forewing; scape golden yellow ventrally, purplish bronzy dorsally; flagellum grayish brown except basal 1/6 dark brown.

Thorax: Mesonotum golden yellow; tegula purplish bronzy. Forewing ground color brownish yellow except distal 1/5 purplish bronzy with purplish blue luster, costal margin bronzy in basal 1/3; black speckle from base to basal 1/6 from below costal margin to posterior margin of cell, radiating to basal 1/3 of wing by several ill-defined black streaks alternated with silvery grey scales; purplish blue spots near basal 1/4 of costal margin and below black speckle respectively; three black streaks in basal 1/3 posteriorly: first streak to basal 1/3 along CuP, second streak to basal 1/6 along 1A+2A, enlarged distally, with silvery gray scales in center, third streak to basal 1/3 of dorsum; inner and outer fasciae silvery gray, with bluish purple luster: inner fascia uniform in width, straight or curved outward medially, edged with dark brown scales on outer margin, outer fascia curved inward, edged with dark brown scales on inner margin, separated by yellowish brown scales medially, beyond middle of outer fascia placed a yellowish brown spot; medial fascia yellow, narrowed medially; three longitudinal subparallel black streaks from outer fascia to distal 1/5 between R 5 and M 2; black speckle beyond outer fascia between costal margin and R 5 as well as between M 2 and termen respectively; fringe dark brown. Hindwing grayish brown; fringe pale gray. Foreleg pale yellow ventrally, purplish bronzy dorsally; midleg golden yellow except tibia bluish purple dorsally; hindleg golden yellow. Epiphysis pale yellow, at distal 2/5 of tibia, reaching near apex of tibia.

Abdomen: Pale yellow ventrally, dark yellowish brown dorsally.

Female wingspan 10.0‒12.0 mm. Antenna 1.2‒1.5 × length of forewing, dark yellowish brown except basal 1/6 grayish brown. Forewing without black streaks from outer fascia to distal 1/ 5 in some specimens. Otherwise, similar to male.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7‒10 ). Socius elliptical, length 1.6 × width. Uncus sub-trapezoidal, slightly concave anteromedially, maximum width 1.8 times length. Tegumen without median ridge. Valva fused in basal half, narrowed to obtusely rounded apex, concave medially on costal margin; V-shaped long ridge from base to apex of valva on ventral surface; digitate process arising from middle between base of costa and transtilla; sacculus reaching near apex of valva. Transtilla with a triangular emargination anteromedially, triangularly produced anterolaterally; median process spiniform, reaching posterior 1/3 of tegumen apically. Vinculum 2.5 × length of valva, broadly rounded anteriorly. Phallus almost same length as vinculum, with banded process at distal 1/3 and dense spines in basal 1/3; two belts of spines from distal 1/5 to near apex, almost in V-shape ( Fig. 8a View FIGURES 7‒10 ). Juxta 0.60 × length of phallus; lateral arm 0.23 × length of arrow head.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11‒12 ). Apophyses posteriores slightly longer than apophyses anteriores; apophyses anteriores fused with eighth tergum in posterior 3/7, 2.1 × length of seventh tergum. Eighth tergum triangularly produced anteromedially. Seventh tergum pointed posteriorly. Vestibulum membranous, with a sclerite at distal 2/5. Ductus bursae 0.50 × length of vestibulum, 0.81 × length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae elongate ovoid.

Distribution. China (Sichuan).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin longius and iugum, referring to the V-shaped long ridge on the ventral surface of the valva.
