Type species: Orientalicesa confasciatus Tan and Carpenter, 2018 , Zookeys 740: 109, 137, replacement name for Odynerus unifasciatus von Schulthess, 1934 , by original designation as type species of Kennethia Giordani Soika.

Kennethia Giordani Soika, 1994 , Ann. Mus. Civ. Stor. Nat. “G. Doria” 90: 4 (key), 289, genus. Junior homonym of Kennethia De Dekker, 1979 (Ostracoda) .

Type species: Odynerus unifasciatus von Schulthess, 1934 , by original designation.

Kennetia Giordani Soika, 1994 , Ann. Mus. Civ. Stor. Nat. “G. Doria” 90: 289. Incorrect original spelling of Kennethia Giordani Soika. In the original description of the genus Orientalicesa, Giordani Soika (1994) stated that it was related to Allorhynchium van der Vecht, 1963 , but the third submarginal cell of the fore wing is about as long as the distance between it and the apex of the marginal cell (in Allorhynchium , the third submarginal cell is separated from the apex of the marginal cell by about half its length). No information about the palpal formula of the genus Orientalicesa was mentioned.

The genus has been recorded in Oriental region, and in this study, it is recorded in Vietnam for the first time, represented by one species Orientalicesa confasciatus .
