Diagnosis. The new species is similar to A. ventericoncava sp. nov. in male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the valva rounded in the distal 1/4 on the ventral margin and extending dorsad distally, and the juxta sub-triangular on the ventral surface. In A. ventericoncava , the valva is concave in the distal 1/4 on the ventral margin and extending ventrad distally, and the ventral surface of the juxta is sub-rectangular.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9–16 ). Forewing length 5.6−6.2 mm.
Head yellow. Antenna yellow on ventral surface, scape brown and flagellum alternated with brown on dorsal surface. Labial palpus with second palpomere yellow on inner surface, dark brown on outer surface, pale yellow at apex; third palpomere yellow, mixed with brown.
Thorax and tegula yellow, mixed with brown. Forewing ground color yellow, with brown scales, costal margin black from base to basal 1/4; black spot near base of subcostal vein and near base of dorsum respectively; discal, discocellular, plical and tornal spots black; terminal dots black, ranging from distal 1/3 of costal margin along termen to tornus; fringe yellowish brown. Hindwing and fringe pale brown. Fore- and midlegs yellow on ventral surface, femora deep yellow, tibiae and tarsi dark brown on dorsal surface; hindleg yellow, tarsus dark brown distally.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 23–28 ). Uncus wide at base, slender to slightly pointed apex. Gnathos circular. Tegumen widened medially, arched on posterior margin, with a large sub-rounded anterior emargination; lateral arm banded. Valva with basal 2/3 sub-rectangular, distal 1/4 slightly narrowed to pointed apex, extending dorsad, rounded on ventral margin; costa narrowly banded; sacculus reaching below costa dorsally, with a weakly sclerotized dorsal edge extending to apex of valva, ventral margin narrowly banded, distally produced a spine-shaped free process reaching 2/3 of valva. Saccus about 1/2 length of uncus, slender, narrowed to pointed apex. Juxta with ventral surface sub-triangular, roundly produced posteromedially; dorsal surface turriform, with circled, evenly spaced ridges. Aedeagus about 5/7 length of valva, slightly tapered; cornuti being a tuft of spines placed distally ( Fig. 23a View FIGURES 23–28 ).
Female genitalia ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 34–39 ). Apophyses posteriores about 1.6 times length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth tergum with posterior margin shallowly concave; eighth sternum with posterior margin convex, anterior margin concave at middle, forming two setose lobes.Antrum funnel-shaped, narrowed anteriorly, produced to a digitate process posterolaterally. Ductus bursae uniform; ductus seminalis arising from about anterior 1/3. Corpus bursae ovoid, longer than ductus bursae; with two signa: one signum below entrance of corpus bursae, sub-luniform; the other signum situated at posterior 1/3, rounded.
Distrubition. China (Hainan, Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan) .
Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the Latin angusti- and valva, referring to the narrow valva.
