Diagnosis — Enarthronotic oribatids belonging to Cosmochthoniidae and with the type of Cosmochthonius emmae Berlese, 1910 (p. 222, Figure 49); with fenestrated rostrum; notogaster divided into four segments; setae in the d- series linked to the first type- E scissure; spear-like erectile setae e-f; polydactyl heterodactyl legs, tarsal formula 2-2-2-3.
