scientific name

Occemya meigeni
status

" Occemya meigeni R. D."

A female of Thecophora atra (Fabricius, 1775) . The specimen is well preserved apart from lacking the right middle leg and the right wing.

The specimen bears the following labels: ( 1) " O. / meigeni / ɗ / coll. Big." [round, white label]; ( 2) " Occemya / meigeni R. D." [lightblue label]; ( 3) " Syntypus " [printed].

This specimen was determined and labelled by RobineauDesvoidy and is evidently a syntype of Occemya meigeni RobineauDesvoidy, 1853: 135 136. Since this specimen appears to be the only known syntype of Occemya meigeni it is herewith designated lectotype and the following label has been added: " Lectotypus / Occemya meigeni / Robineau Desvoidy, 1853 / des. Stuke & Clements, 2005 " [red label, printed].

The synonymy with Thecophora atra (Fabricius, 1775) proposed by Chvála & Smith ( 1988) is supported.
