The road-killed Fork-tailed Flycatcher individuals were identified by their dark upperparts and white under- parts, and by their black color on the head, wings and tail, with gray on back. They are especially distinct because of their long and bifurcated tail with elongated outer rectrices that are basally edged white, which are oftentimes longer than the body, and even longer in males.
