Type species: Metadentobunus formosae Roewer, 1915 , by monotypy.
Diagnosis: Abdominal scute with a median spine on second tergite. Pedipalpal tarsus longer than tibia; claw pectinate. Leg II femur with two false articulations. Ocularium with 1 frontal spine on each side.
Distribution: Taiwan.
Remarks: Metadentobunus is an endemic genus to Taiwan. They are often found on the tree trunk, with camouflage coloration similar with the background.
