Neurogona grisea Parent, 1944: 130 . Type locality: "Ordos Sud: Sjarossongol" ( China).
Diagnosis. Thorax and abdomen metallic green, with gray pollen. Abdominal segment 5 with ventral projection. Cercus with one inner process.
Redescription. MALE. Body length? mm, wing length 3.1 mm.
Head missing.
Thorax metallic green, with gray pollen; scutellum yellow. Hairs and bristles on thorax black; 5 dc bristles, 11–12 paired acr bristles. Propleuron with 2–3 pale hairs on upper portion, 1 long yellow bristle on lower portion. Legs yellow; coxae I–III yellow. Hairs and bristles on legs black; coxa I with 3 bristles on anteroapical portion; coxa III with 1 outer bristle at basal 1/4. Tibia II with 1 pd bristle at apical 1/3, apically with 3 bristles; tibia III with 5–6 pd, apically with 4 bristles. Relative lengths of tibia and 5 tarsomeres of legs LI 2.7: 1.7: 1.3: 0.5: 0.3: 0.3; LII 3.8: 3.0:?:?:?:?; LIII 5.3: 1.4:?:?:?:?.
Wing ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 25 ) hyaline; veins dark brown, M1+2 gently bent apically and convergent with R4+5; CuAx ratio 0.35. Squama yellow with brown margin, with pale hairs. Halter yellow.
Abdomen metallic green, with gray pollen; tergum 1 with yellow basal margin, terga 1–5 each with yellow apical margin. Abdominal segment 5 with ventral projection. Hairs on abdomen chiefly black.
Genitalia ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24 – 25 ). Epandrium short and broad, basally with 2 short and thin lateral processes, surstylus with dorsal lobe short and broad, apex rounded; ventral lobe long and broad, apically with one inner process. Cercus short with inner process, and with short marginal hairs.
FEMALE. Unknown.
Material examined. 1 male, China: Neimeng (deposited in MusÈum National d’Historie Naturelle, Paris).
Distribution. Known only from Neimeng.
