A Neotropical species is reported from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, and Central and South America ( Metcalf 1963a, Duffels & van der Laan 1985, Boulard & Martinelli 1996, Sanborn 2001 a, Sanborn 2006b, Sanborn 2007). It has been reported in Oaxaca ( Moore 1962) and Veracruz ( Sueur 2002) in Mexico.
