The species is described from Mexico, Central America, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador ( Metcalf 1963a, Boulard & Martinelli 1996, Sanborn 2007). It has been reported from Veracruz (Boulard & Martinelli 1996, Sueur 2002) in Mexico.
