H. K. Lua ( ZRC) ; 3 ex, Lorong Banir , NS 141C, 24 May.1994 ( ZRC) .
Distribution. – India, Sri Lanka, Southern China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia [ Sarawak], Indonesia [Kalimantan and Java] ( Ochs, 1927a & 1929; Mazzoldi, in litt.), Singapore (Balke et al., 1999).
Ecology. – This is the common Orectochilus found in both forest and open habitats, especially in ponds and edges of reservoirs.
